History
My father, James Parker at 18 years old started in car business at Adamson Ford in 1957, then went to Edmunds Ford in West End, which changed to Russell Vaughn Ford, then to Lonnie Russell Ford. In 1962 he opened Parker Motors and Triangle Motors in Central Park with $1900 and 4 cheap cars and operated until 1967. Mr Parker then tried his hand at the repossession industry from 1967 until present, Automotive Salvage business from 1977 to 1989. In 1983 Mr Parker opened J&C Auto Sales, Inc. with an idea, very little money, ($20,000 he saved repossessing cars from 1967-1982) work ethic unlike many others , a good eye for quality automobiles, and surrounded himself with quality people. James Parker Jr. joined in 1983. Our company's success has come from simplicity, just doing the right thing, buying good pre-owned cars, with good mechanical track records, reconditioning vehicles right, and treating people right.
