Meet Dr. Day

As a third generation Optometrist, Dr. Day at Day Eye Center in Pelham, AL has literally grown up in eye care. He adds to his strong roots with a commitment to provide all future advances in eye care. This is reflected in his leadership service to his profession, on many local, state, and national groups. Dr. Day is a frequent speaker to community groups on topics that include Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Myopia Prevention, and Natural care of your eyes. For example, he spoke to the Hoover Senior Center on Macular Degeneration.

Had my 11 yr old seen and had my 3 other kids in tow. Dr. Day and his secretary were so kind and understanding with us. They brought out crayons for my 2 and 5 yr olds. I nursed the baby, no biggie. Definitely a kid-friendly place. My daughter not only got her first pair of glasses but learned some eye exercises as well. The visit and glasses were less than $150 total without insurance. Dr Day is a great optometrist! He even referred me to the ophthalmologist who did my trifocal lens replacement surgery (souped-up cataract surgery). For me the healing time was very quick and I came out of the procedure already able to see. Now, three months after surgery, I see better than I can remember ever seeing before (my vision is now 20/20). Before surgery my eyes were so bad (about -11) that I was not a candidate for anything but the trifocal lens replacement but I saw it as an investment in my future health as I was getting worried about night driving. So glad I did it!
